The Spirit Room. Hotel Paper. And now, Everything Comes and Goes.
Her singles, "Everywhere", "All You Wanted" and "Are You Happy Now", to name a few, led me to know how to play a guitar. Up until now, I'm trying and still trying to follow Michelle Branch's footsteps.
I am not a frustrated musician, or whatsoever.
This blog pays tribute to the beautiful music Michelle has shared to the music industry. I don't mean she's bidding us goodbye now. In fact, she's currently working on an upcoming album to be released next year.
We've heard a little of Michelle in her debut album. Everywhere. All You Wanted. Goodbye to You. And of course, her collaboration with the rock icon Carlos Santana, The Game of Love.
Surprisingly, Maverick Records (Branch's recording company) released her second album Hotel Paper, which met mixed reviews from the press.
We've also seen Michelle sing with her former back-up singer and long-time friend Jessica Harp. They were initially known as "The Cass Country Homewreckers", which was tagged by Branch's former bassist and now her husband Teddy Landau. She gave birth to a beautiful girl named Owen Isabelle on August 3, 2005.
And long after their successful collaboration, Branch's now hitting it off the stage again with her solo album comeback.
Her new album, entitled "Everything Comes and Goes" will include a blend of her acoustic/alternative music styles as well as country music.
I've always admired her style and her ability to write songs in just a snap of a second.
To Michelle,You know, I've always wanted to follow your footsteps as a musician. You've given me so much inspiration and passion to keep up what you've made and continuously making in the industry. I'll forever be a fan.
