Hello, Blogger! I am so new here and please let me share with you a little of me. I am Anaya Mitchell, a freelance writer, musician, filmmaker, photographer, DREAMER. My journey through reaching my dreams has gone too passionate, wistful, and crazy. I’ve shared millions of laughter and tears to millions of dreamers like me. I’ve spent lots of my savings and “baon” to go to far-away places for go-sees and castings. I’ve also spent days and nights waiting for my turn during auditions. I’ve met lots of personalities from the industry I wish I am in. I’ve been turned down by many. And yet, I’m still here. Fighting for what I’ve always wanted to be. This blog is dedicated to YOU and to all the persons who’ve inspired me to fight for my dream. Every chance I get to talk to a person is so special to me. That’s why, I want YOU to be part of the journey I am in. I want YOU to know who I am and what I want to be. I want YOU to know that we direct the life we live, so keep pushing, keep thriving, and keep believing! Once again, I am Anaya Mitchell, and this is my story.

It pays to have a dream

We all have dreams. Yet, some of us may not know how to have or hold it. Together, let's explore the never-ending pathway through our journey to reaching our dreams.

My Super Kilig Moment with Christian Bautista :)

Thursday, March 4, 2010

That's Christian Bautista! Yihee. I watched Ian's show at PAGCOR-Tagaytay last Saturday with my mom, dad, lola and my sisters. January of last year, I went up on stage and we did a skit -- he told me to act like we fell in love at our first glance. Again, yihee. I was like 'super kilig' while he was singing 'The One Who Won My Heart'. As in, super kilig. I kept on saying "kinikilig ako, kinikilig ako". Super I can't help it. The reason why I didn't get the chance to sing at all!

Buuuuuut! Last Saturday, it was my turn to share the stage again with HIM. YESSSS! Another but! It wasn't a skit anymore. But - a duet! Yihee. We sang 'Please Be Careful With My Heart'. Until now, I am super kilig! :))

Hope to have a video copy of this once-in-a-lifetime super memorable and so kilig experience! See you soon! Yihee. :)

This is Me

I AM UNIVERSAL

Diplomatic and urbane.
Romantic and charming.
Easygoing and sociable.
Idealistic and peaceable.
Indecisive and changeable.
Gullible and easily influenced.
Flirtatious and self-indulgent.
Love me or hate me, it doesn’t really matter.
Simplicity plus sophistication is my philosophy.
I admire beauty and elegance. I am addicted to vanity. Not a narcissist, but a lover of splendid charm and magnificence.
Universality is my idea of totality. It takes millions of tears to appreciate your worth. And it caused me billions and ten times of it.
Harmony of art in music relieves my impression of sadness. Its melody tunes in the pleasure that sweetly soothes in my ear.
I am universal because I have this entire persona, all at once.
I bet you have your own, too. However, mine is more than unique and wonderful.

LOVE VERSUS HATE

So great to have the finest things in life. I live and I love… Conviviality. Gentleness. Optimism. Journey. Success.
So bad that I have the worst things in life. I go by and I hate… Violence. Injustice. Brutishness. Slavery. Loneliness.

I AM SUPERNATURAL

Sensitivity speaks of my idea of supernaturalism.
I discovered a God-given gift while searching in the Internet. My ability to seize in compassion to other’s feelings almost reaches the extent of having extra-ordinary influences. “Psychic” is the thought’s idea.
Who wants to be ordinary? Everyone’s mixed up in this small, short-lived world. We only have one ultimate life to bring out the very best each day.
Why dream of becoming just like anybody else?
I am special.
I know I am.

Warning for Aspiring Talents

This is my first Tumblelog entry. I also thought of posting this here.

Just last Wednesday, 2nd day of December, me and my forever loving BF (smiles) went to Makati, Greenhills, and Quiapo to get some cash (winks) from the office, attend a casting, and shop.

Our first stop: Makati

I got the chance to see my friends from the company I used to work before. We ate lunch together, and had a little kwentuhan after. I missed them a lot. :( Then, I went to the HR Department, read papers, and got hold of my last pay. We went straight to BDO and… yehey! (What really happened to our next stop is what this blog wants to share with you!).

Next stop: Greenhills

A modeling agency texted me and asked me to attend their agency screening for future contract models. This is my first time to go to an agency screening (others were castings, VTR filings, etc.) So, this one’s really new.

We walked for about half an hour until we reached their office. And while inside the condo, we found out that there’s no restroom to change my clothes and put some make-up on. So, I have to be the supergirl-I-am during auditions. It took me around 15 minutes to be camera-ready. Finally, we entered the agency’s office.

I was surprised when there weren’t any person except me waiting to be called. After a while, I was asked to go to the director’s office. The secretary (I’m not sure if she really is) of Mr. XXX, I named him XXX because – you’ll find out later, gave me an interview questionnaire and let me answer it. After completing the form, checking how tall I am, and all the everyday stuff they do during castings, she went outside the director’s office. Only me and Mr. XXX were left inside the room. This made me freaked out.

Then, Mr. XXX went to the restroom. Just to get ready to what might happen, I checked out what my boyfriend was doing. I opened the door and made sure he’s there. Then, I went back to the table and left the door closed but didn’t lock it.

The interview went on easily for about 10 minutes. Mr. XXX wanted to know where I’m from, my previous experiences, etc. However, it changed…

He started asking me personal and unlikely questions. He said (not in these exact words but exactly meant what he said), “In this modeling agency, we make sure that we get to know our models intensely. That’s why, I will be asking some personal questions to you, and I expect you to take these without malice.” With that statement, should I or should I not think of anything malicious or — to boot, scandalous that might happen during the interview?

It felt uneasy during the interview. I was feeling damn stupid that I want to slap his face for forcing me to answer his questions.

He told me to get out of my shell and free myself from being untrue. He even accused my boyfriend for being gay, and me for being a bisexual. He ended up asking me if I am open to have a relationship with another guy other than my boyfriend. I freaking said, “NO!”. Then, he answered with a baffled face.

I don’t think this is the kind of industry I want to work with. You are awful, Mister. Do not make a mess of the business that has made lots of personalities famous today.

After the interview, I told my boyfriend everything about it. He just wants me to tell everyone about that experience. So here I am, blogging about it.

Last stop: Quiapo

I know this wouldn’t be that interesting anymore but please allow me to include this. We went straight to Quiapo to buy an acoustic box for our upcoming gig. (I’ll try to post a video or pictures of our first ever gig that’s gonna happen on the 19th.) And then, we met an old friend there. Afterwards, we went home.

Reminder:

If you want to know who the hell was Mr. XXX (because he’s too X-rated!), please send me an email or message me in Facebook. I’ll tell you every single detail about his agency.

P.S.

Before posting this blog entry, I noticed an IM saying “Hi”. Guess who sent me the message? It’s Mr. XXX! Eeeeeeeekkk!

MEG Face Search 2009

I only used a camera phone to capture this picture from MEG magazine. I joined their Face Search last September, and they published all the participants’ entries on their November ish. Unfortunately, I didn't made it to the top ten. The top finalists were featured on their December issue! And the winner will be MEG's February Cover Girl! So, good luck to all of you, girls! :D

The Timer Starts Now

Friday, August 7, 2009

Every second counts.

When the clock ticks, it frightens me. For I know, there's something I'm missing in every minute I spend waiting for nothing.

Every hour feels like another day has come.

I don't know when I'm being fooled. I dont know when I'm being scammed.

Yet, in my mind, I still keep on longing to hold my dreams and wait until my star starts to shine.

I'm not sure when it's gonna be. Not sure if it's meant to be.

But God... I'm holding on. Please hear my pray'r. Please bear with me.

I will no longer make even a single glimpse at the back. I am never gonna cry and quit.

'Cause I know when God says "Yes", He swears it's going to be a lifetime I'll never regret.
